This is probably the easiest way to fix it. You will still earn all the revenue from the previous views on your content while this claim has been up also. :)

It's a bug with the forums. Does make it feel like there are less people around which brings down the activity. John has been trying to get the people who host the forums server to fix it for a while now.

Everything you have now will still be the same it just that some of the new features being brought in may not be available for you. Analytics is down for everyone because of something on Youtubes end, so that should hopefully sort itself out soon.
