Although I don't speak I still sometimes make a "script" of what I will be doing in the video and the order to do it in.

I think it would just get in the way of my videos, also they are usually fairly heavily edited and would look really weird. Maybe I should work on adding commentary first haha

Not really something you can avoid, even the biggest channels usually only have 10% of their subs watching. But it is true you want dedicated fans/followers rather than subscribers.

You can always disable the like/dislike bar for a while. In the end dislikes still count towards your viewer engagement the same the likes do so it will help out your video ranking rather than be bad for it. Although I know it can be disheartening especially if you have a small channel...
