As with the majority of companies on the internet it can take a few days to get a response. Your ticket will not be missed, you just need to be patient until they get to your ticket. There has been a lot of tickets made over the past couple of weeks that have slowed the process down a little.

AT2020 is a great mic so defo go for that one when you can. If there is no change when adjusting the gain then it sounds like it is an issue with the mic connections. As gain would directly influence the sounds being picked up by the mic.

The mic will be quiet yeah, but you can raise its volume in your editing software. Also, it is a very cheap mic, cheap ones often have a lot worse quality, more expensive ones are built to prevent the hissing that you can hear.

What is the gain on your Mic? That is basically just background static that happens with any Mic when the gain is too high. Set the gain to a point where you can hear no hissing. I have my gain at about 10/100 and never hear any background sounds.
