What advice would you offer to new uploaders?

I'd tell people to starting warming up your voice before making videos. People start to get much more energetic when the blood gets flowing. Having a monotone voice can be disastrous for anyone involved. Recording in bulk, and spacing it out for the week never hurt either!

• Don't let your ego get in the way. Listen to others. They might have good suggestions on how to make your channel better!
• Keep on learning. Never stop. There is always room for improvement.
• Make friends! Collaborate.
• Make time for yourself. Don't let your life get engulfed in just recording/rendering/uploading/YouTube. Keep the friends you HAVE.

No doubt, we need to offer something different, compared to everyone else. That's why people wonder why their own "Let's Plays", don't get any traction.

And seriously, I've seen many people that get impatient that they aren't an overnight success. Ego ruins a lot of people too, since they feel that they're better than others at times. When someone tells me they honestly can't improve on a single attribute, it's impossible Definitely taking breaks will help people relax more in the end. The average shelf life for a youtuber isn't that long when things aren't going their way.

2. Figure out when (time wise) you get the most views and try to schedule uploads for around then. (For example, my best time is 2am CST)
3. Follow your analytics closely, they are helpful!
4. If you are like me, and have issues trying to speak, write it down on paper but read it like you're talking in your Youtube Voice
5. Patience is key to success
6. Listen to others critiques. Just because you think you have the BEST video uploaded, doesn't mean you do.

Nobody, or at the very least, many people don't succeed their first few weeks alone. Giving up is the end, and that's that. We can all continue on for as long as we can, or want to ^^ Messing around with various recording programs will be strenuous at first, but it pays off. Some videos will have to be scrapped, sadly enough. Asking for help should be a given! Having fun should be the top priority, in any place in life. We could be near the finish line, and we'd never know

Double checking your videos should be mandatory! Finding out a consistent schedule always helps too. Analytics can give more information about what's working, and who's following you. Writing a script can help tremendously ^^ Patience is a virtue. And always, continue to strive improving ^^
