I'm not too sure I understand what you mean, do you have any screenshots of this issue. Are you saying that you got a strike from Youtube, do you know the reason of the violation?

Mainly just avoid the generic subreddits or anything that is there for just promoting. Find one that is specific to your channel. Best way is to google "reddit and name topic"

It can be very useful to get discovered, I have most of my views thanks to reddit. You probably need to spend a few weeks using it before you attempt to post your own links though.

I usually just ignore them, I don't think they should be on youtube though. Most of those type of comments get automatically filtered by youtube on my channel anyway :)
