I'd more suggest this if you are working closely with that person, maybe you both did a collaboration together and you each upload alternating videos. So the first video is on your channel and the next in the series is on theirs and so on...

First work on the quality of your content, these video need to stack up against other larger YouTubers. Once you have that down you can get your channel recognized by using social media, forums etc.

You will have to include some lyrics! I don't think I'd ever dare uploading any sort of singing to YouTube haha
