Have reached out to management and so far they have all said this is a YouTube thing and nothing has been changed in Freedom. Maybe try manually selecting the ads once the video has finished uploading, let me know if you find a fix that works.

The Freedom! network did not take any money. The $50 that you earned will still be with Adsense, Freedom! can't pay out money that you made with a different network or adsense. If you ever go back to adsence (default YouTube payment) the $50 will still be there but you must still reach the $100...

I think a better idea would be do a video series on undiscovered channels that might have potential. Just giving a shutout because someone requested it, and not because you liked their channel will just end up showcasing fairly average channels and you aren't going to get many people that watch it.

Yes, unfortunately it's not as simple as writing "this is not my music" or just giving them credit. It depends on the licence whether you can monetize, edit or even use the music on a YouTube video.

I think most of the big YouTubers started out doing YouTube as a hobby on low end equipment. As your channel grows you can always spend the money earned on upgrading your equipment. I don't think having high end equipment is necessary for gaining views and subs.

They may have permission from the music company or paid for a licence or something. For the music producers this would be good advertising for them.

Problem with smaller channel asking larger channel for a collab, it seems more like they are doing it just to gain subscribers themselves. If 2 channels are doing a collaboration they should both watch and enjoy each others content.
