It depends on the amount of channels being processed, each one is manually reviewed so this can take some time. Also make sure you meet all the requirements to join. At the moment it is 100,000 views in the last month and have 5,000 subscribers.

Yep that's unfortunately the case, you need views to get views. Definitely doesn't make it easy for the smaller channels. It is still possible to some views from search you just need to find something that is unique.
