"Sample Clearance" is a big word and in most cases doesn't have a direct correlation to Freedom!. Could you rephrase the question to be more clear by telling us what you mean by "sample clearance" in this specific case, preferably providing an example of what you would expect Freedom! to do there?

That change was a few months ago, Freedom! has always had the same thing.

As far as I'm aware this was designed for the team to have some time to reach out to the partner to resolve eventual misunderstandings and to prevent misclicks. There's also no real downside as the no lock in contract is still way more forgiving to let you leave than industry standard lock-in...
