Guys! I finally reached my first subscriber milestone! 50 subs! (Also, 1k+ views, AND almost 200 followers on my YT-based instagram!)
As I'm posting this, I'm actually at 54 subs, so I was a little late with celebrating.. But even though it's small, I'm still so excited, and it's motivating me...
Oh, I love that! I'm also a firefly nerd, and "Fireflies" is so cute! (If you don't already have it, you should get the "Stay Shiny" tee from thinkgeek!)
Same, I just naturally call my subs "guys", as well. My intro and outro are "Hey, guys" and "Have fun, guys"... I never noticed, though, until I read your post and actually thought about what I call people lol!
I've seen a few different examples from this and sometimes it seems natural (Like Pewds and his "bros") sometimes it also seems forced. I think if subscribers want to call themselves something, they'll figure it out themselves. Word gets around with fans. I always thought it'd sound awkward to...
I go to great lengths not to use profanity, and I tell myself that "at least I wont be a bad influence for kids" but really it's for pretty dumb reasons. One reason, I barely swear. I only started swearing a little when I was getting out of high school and I only curse in front of like 3 people...
Yep! I'm no hardcore collector, but I do like to decorate my shelf space. (I also use it as an interesting backdrop for most of my videos)
I've got POP figures, but really I put up any figures/toys I can collect. I think it's mostly things I've gotten from blind boxes and blind bags.
Oh boy, don't get me started on challenge videos! Unfortunately, I haven't done any yet because most of them are better with two people, and I need to find someone willing to take part xD But I've got an excel sheet full of different challenges or games to try someday. I wont list them all, but...
Nice, welcome to the forums! I love Pokemon, but I don't play it as much as I used to.. When I do play, though, I always always pick the fire type starter. Not for any strategic reasons, I just always love fire-type starters! :p How do you choose your starter? Your favorite "type", how the...
Purchased a short 2D intro and it's perfect! It fits my channel very nicely, and he was able to use the specific music that I wanted. We sorted out the details and he sent me the draft the next day! There were no changes that I wanted, so as soon as I sent the money, he sent me the file : ) Very...
These are some great tips! I learned a lot since starting youtube, and I think I can say I don't make these mistakes anymore, but I certainly made a few of them when I first started out!
Can you elaborate on the "No Fan Support" and "No Paid Content"? I don't know if I'm having a brain fart or something, but my mind isn't wrapping around what that means.
Thanks everyone! You all raise some good points, growth is more important for smaller channels. As a super small channel, I think I'll give partnering a try : )
I'm thinking of partnering with Freedom, of course, but I don't want to jump in blindly. I figured I should ask the people how their experience with it has been, both pros and cons.
I noticed that they get a percentage of your earnings, so wouldn't that mean I'll get even less earnings than I...
I've only ever used two video editing programs: Windows Movie Maker and Lightworks. To compare both of those, Lightworks is much better. It's a bit of a learning curve since even trimming is done in a completely different way, but when it comes to tasks you use repeatedly like trimming, you get...
