Hello, I own and operate the community channel "iBlindBat".
On January 5th of 2016, I received my first copyright strike. A minimal use of the claimant’s gameplay was used in the video. However, when the video initially went public, I received positive comments from the claimant about the video, not showing me any reason to take it down. An attempt to get the claimant to retract this claim has been made, but to no avail. This first claimant has not been using his online alias' social media accounts for a long time leaving me no way to contact them, anymore.
On May 19th of 2016, I received another copyright claim which I have reason to believe is also a false flagging. My reasoning goes as follows - The claimant has never had any affiliation with my channel and has not reached out to me about any problems with my video(s), the director whose video was taken down off my channel has never had any affiliation with the claimant, and finally, the original creator of this video's thumbnail has never had any affiliation with the claimant.
Both of these claims were detected/reported manually.
I have been apart of Freedom!'s network for over a year and 6 months. I have attempted to contact Freedom! support about this and have received zero help or guidance. The first agent I was assigned to said "The best way is to send a follow-up message to the claimant and wait for his/her reply because we need to know if he/she can cooperate with us.
" and redirected me to another agent/department on June 1st. Surprise surprise, the agent has not gave me anymore updates (as I was promised) nor has responded to me asking to be kept in the loop.
Where do I go from here? I have heard about networks of fellow YouTubers helping and clearing up these kinds of problems in the past (even within 24 hours!) but I've been here, as a sitting duck, for over 3 weeks.
Thanks for reading, it's much appreciated.
