Yep. I think that explains about it. But be sure that your videos won't have any copyright content, otherwise, Freedom would unpartner with you (I think).

Yes, ads generate your revenue. But remember we place the ads for you as long as you are partnered with us, as long as you enable the monetisation for each video. You don't need to upload or edit in ads individually or anything

Like others have said, You get paid by youtube by displaying advertisements before your video (you dont get to pick which ones, youtube does this for you). YouTube earns money with this and pays a small part to you since you "generated" that money.
You arent forced to do this, if you dont want any advertisements before your videos just disable it. You wont earn any money though!
