Why do you watch youtube gamers?

I was wondering if the game a YouTuber plays is actually relevant to why people watch. Is it more to do with their personality?

When i watch a video regarding a game i watch for the gameplay and could care less about the person.

It's just fun to watch, learn the game, and watch their reaction and I was also inspired by one of them lol

I think its the game. If I upload forza 6 I get a lot more views than uploading a video racing on Race07

I watch for their personality and also the game, I can't always buy the games they play nor do I have a great PC to play them, so I watch them and see if the game is interesting.

I personally watch for the personality most of the time. If said personality plays games i'm interested in this ofcourse makes them better for me.
Having said that, i only watch 2 youtubers regularly. When i'm looking into a game for a potential purchase, things change. I no longer care for the personality as i just want to know what the game is about.

Sometimes it's just fun to watch other people play games. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with personalities, though some do make it more fun to watch.

I watch youtube to relieve stress so the personality is kinda important for me. Also a good personality keeps you engaged
