I had made the choice to leave freedom but then I seen you have to wait 30 DAYS to get out of freedom. This is completely stupid to have to wait that long. I hadn't set up a pay pal for freedom so my new contents revenue is gonna go straight to freedom. I'm already giving up what I had earned during freedom why should I have to lose even more. I didn't care about the earnings from during freedom because I was new and was barely making anything but as my channel grows it is becoming a problem. They call it a no lock in contract but these 30 days sure seem locked in to me and just confirms my choice to leave freedom.

I think it's actually the default that YouTube has set. Once you request to unlink, it automatically unlinks you after 30 days. I wouldn't complain at all though, if you had partnered with someone else, you wouldn't have the choice to unlink.

Exactly. That's why you don't see any networks doing less than 30 days. If they could do less I'm sure they would.

That is the un-linking process, it's in place to stop people jumping from network to network, which would cause a whole lot of mess for YouTube. If you set up paypal late you can still receive all of your earnings during the catch up payment process. All networks with no lock in contracts have this unfortunately and there is no way around this (unless you get your channel terminated or something). At least it's not a contract where you have to stay in for 2 years
