I'm a huge fan of everything retro particularly Sonic the Hedgehog!
(I've also done my TOP 10 Sonic the Hedgehog Games on my Channel if you ever fancy a look!)

BUT!

We all have our own unique tastes and genre's!, so what are YOUR! TOP 3 Retro Games and why!

Mine are as follows!

1. Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Reason being: hours’ worth of fun, SUPER emeralds! Awesome sonic game-play

2. Final Fantasy 7! - My first RPG! As a young'en brought a whole new meaning to "story-telling" and was an epic game from start to finish!

3. Resident Evil 1 - Being scared half to death! As a young lad! hah and not forgetting the cheesy intro, still holds up today, the remake on GameCube is also an awesome little title!

1. Legend of Zelda: This is THE game i fell in love with. The story, the gameplay. It has everything a game needs. Still play it nowadays!

2. Final Fantasy 7: As a fan of Cloud Strife this is a masterpiece, downloaded the port on Ps4 and enjoying it all over again!

3. Crash Bandicoot: The Fun this game had to offer, the gameplay. Played with lots of joy upp till Crash 3 on Playstation 1. The ones after went downhill in my opinion.

My top favourite retro game is probably Lemmings on the Commodore Amiga. The puzzles were fun and challenging, and being forced to detonate the blockers was always a sad moment. I have very fond memories of that game.
Second, probably a Sonic game. I had the Sonic Gems Collection on PS2 (basically a higher resolution re-realease of the more popular Sega MegaDrive, etc. titles). I can't remember what it was called, but one of the games essentially was a wrestling match between two characters. Metal Sonic was OP and always the way to go.
Thirdly, while not entirely retro, I loved Pokémon Emerald. Most people go on about Red or Blue, but Emerald was my first proper video game. In fact I loved it so much that when I started my channel a few years ago I did a short (and unfinished) let's play of it. Since then, I've played most of the major Pokémon games.

EDIT: The game I couldn't remember was called 'Sonic The Fighters'.
