What should I do when I hit 1k subs?

Post a lot of quality Videos! Enjoy yourself and ask for subscribers along the way
Personally, I would work underground making more high quality content. Don't announce it but make it really noticeable that the quality has improved.
I don't really recommend making a 1K special since in the grand scale of YouTube, it's not too "special". Do one for 10k though.

Don't do the generic stuff. Nobody likes that anymore. Do something different. Doesn't have to be some Isis prank or some **** (please DO NOT do an Isis prank) but do something that people will enjoy.
