What I suggest is just using your phone to record. Most smartphones have a decent camera nowadays. I am using an iPhone 6s for vlogs and it's great!
I have the Canon Sx610 HS, i got it off of amazon for $299. i am in canada though so i am sure it would be cheaper in other countries.
