So Friday I crushed my big toe and broke my 2nd toe on my right foot. The big toe had to be sewn back together at the ER (I have pictures of the before and after :p) This is the first time I've ever broken any bones. I honestly hate this feeling. It's not the pain that is getting to me, it's the fact that I can't do most things on my own and that I need help with everything. Has anyone else been in similar situations? Any advice to give?

I think I twisted the bands of my ankles about 6 times in a row when I was young..... weak ankles and Iceskating LOVE WHIIEEE.
So irritating even when skipping a rope and I landing weird or something and it would happen every time I would be out of the running for at least 3 months and just when the cast came of the next day something would happen again. I had that problem for about 4 years and missed allot of connecting with my peers at that time because I couldn't participate in any physical activities at school and in all my after school sport kinda I just kinda lost my friends. On the other hand during recess I met a few kids who where also injured and couldn't do sports and such in school and we actually became very good friends after that and trough her I met even more people who where allot more accepted of the clumsy me!

My boyfriend was injured pretty terribly during Mother's Day weekend. A group of dogs that we were taking care of got into a fight and he tried to break it up while getting caught in the middle himself. Had over 30 bite wounds on his hand, face, and legs, and he couldn't even get stitches 'cause dogs have bacteria in their mouths that can cause infection in humans if the wound is not properly disinfected.

I broke my hand/wrist several times as a child. Always the same one too, and it's the hand that I would write with so I couldn't ever do anything in school, and for a while, I would have people write things for me. I started to practice with my other hand though, so now I can do everything with both hands which is pretty cool I guess.
