This is my big goal, but if you want to adopt it, go ahead.
In the simplest way possible, this "day for day" goal means to get 1440 minutes of watch time per day on my channel. A super-goal that is a sub-goal of this is to get the same on a single video.
Do you think this is possible? I think it's possible, and I AM going to do it.[DOUBLEPOST=1452008686][/DOUBLEPOST]I did a little bit of calculating as well. 1440 watch minutes per day breaks down to 60 watch minutes per hour. Pretty simple right?
Let's factor in the acceptable average audience retention from an earlier post of mine. This average was 40%, this means there is just 24 views per hour, more than many on here would dream of.
From here, our 24 views = 60 minutes watch. Insert algebra.
24x=60
=2.5 (average watch time (in minutes) per video).
Then when I backtrack using the average audience retention of 40% (0.4). I found that the optimal video length to enable the success of this goal is 6.25 minutes long, or 6 minutes 15 seconds.
