Audacity is a free program. Elgato is kind of expensive but is very powerful and DXtory license costs about 50$, kind of complicated to set up and if you are playing very demanding games and your PC can barely run them, DXtory won't help that

If you don't know what to say in a video its sometimes is better to be silence for a few minutes instead of talking about stupid stuff haha :) but I do commented video's and mostly in a game there is so much stuff happening that you can always talk about something ;)

I also like it in a horror game that the player has some silence to :p it only makes it funnier when he begins to scream xD

Hey Freedom! I was just wondering if there are any tips you guys can provide for talking during videos. I do commentate in my videos now, but i get nervous and dont always know what to talk about.. Does anyone have any tips or tricks?
Hey man. I've had a few channels in the past so I'm more confident in speaking now but on my first channel I was terrified that people would make fun of my voice or my mic. My brain was trying to find something that people could make fun of. My way of getting around this was by just thinking if anyone does hate on you then they are still watching your vids. As long as there are some people that watch and don't hate then you're doing something right. I takes time and practice to become more confident. I've got to the point now where I can make a commentary and feel confident enough to just upload it even if I say something wrong because I can just correct myself. Also the people watching are generally people you will never meet IRL so just ignore them and do what makes you fell happy. Hope this helped.

It takes time to get used to "talking to yourself" when playing games, in the beginning it will feel weird and hence you sound nervous. This will quickly vanish with experience, produce more videos with live commentary and you'll get used to it.

Post-commentary is something I'm not good at, but I guess it could be easier in the part that it's easy to delete and try again :)

When it comes to commentating all of us gets nervous lol. It goes away after awhile, but my tip would be to talk about the gameplay when you can't think of anything else to say. Use that to guide your thoughts and to stay on the topic of the video. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, everyone does and believe it or not it makes you more human to the viewers lol. Good luck brother

Good day to my Freedom family. I also do commentary, and could truly use some tips on getting better at it. Those that have been doing this longer than me please check out my channel and let me know what you think.
