Nobody is being judged here. You have the freedom to do what you please with your own time even if it's for the hope of financial success or fame. I'm curious how honest people are. If you're in it for fame and fortune, be honest so that you can meet other like minded people. As far as me, that stuff doesn't matter to me, and that's the truth. It would be great of course but only for the reason that I would then be able to create even more. In reality I started doing this at the very core due to me wanting to make the world into a better place. I figured that using gaming as a backdrop I could bring people into my own world in a fun way in order to try and help them. Most people that watch Youtube gaming are younger and they are the future so for those reasons as well it made sense to me to try and help the generations of tomorrow. If from an earlier age people started to hear positive reinforcement and received spiritual and mental help then maybe in 50 years this world could be at least slightly better. People say one person can't make a difference. I don't agree. It's a domino effect. If you affect one person who knows who they will affect and it goes on and on. One of those people may end up becoming a person of great influence upon the world and cause major change. If this cycle continues in a few thousand years this might very well be a utopia. I know you see my channel and think what is this?! You've done nothing great on it and you have these wild ambitions?! Well for one this last year was just a test for me and two everybody's gotta start somewhere, right So please seriously, no lies allowed. Let us know what you're really trying to accomplish here if you're courageous enough to do so.

To be totally honest i wouldn't say i have any proper ambitions when it comes to youtube, what motivates me though is just the factor of i love playing games either solo or with friends (as i have done for the past 27 years or so) and just have fun with it all and the thought that something i create could make someone laugh or even just crack a smile is basically just the iceing on the cake.

Now when it comes to the financial side (the sorted dark side of YT that should never be discussed) i'm not really that bothered about it, i have survived without it and i will continue to do so.. BUT dont get me wrong if the money came flowing in, in a big way then well i would happily accept it (i aint stupid lol)

But yeah thats about it really nothing "big" when it comes to ambition & motivation on the YT front as long as i can make someone laugh or smile while i play games with friends and solo.. tbh that puts a smile on my face.

Why do I make YouTube Videos? For me its simple, I just love to tell stories through film. My channel is not a Gaming channel or a comidey channel, Its not a vlog channel or a review channel. It is its own thing. anyway back to why I make them, I have always loved the stranger films like Jim Henson's the Cube or almost anything Tim Burton related and I simply want to make things like that. I don't want to be famous or anything like that and to be honest I don't really care about the money, but the more money I get the bigger stories I can tell so It would be nice to make some money off of my channel. I would probably just use the money to make better videos.

(I'm working on my story for the new youtube story thing so IF you guys could provide feed back on this it would be good. thanks)

Honestly, I do it for fun and interacting with my viewers and subscribers. Personally I'm not on youtube for major fame or the money, I'm doing it to enjoy it, and maybe someday inspire people who are just starting out on youtube that they too can grow and even form friendships.
Though on a personal level, I was diagnosed with ASD(Autism Spectrum Disorder) known as Aspergers which effects me socially in real life(Social anxiety,ect.). While yes, I do have friendships in real-life, I have formed friendships without actually "talking" to them face-to-face within the games I played. (Notably, Guild Wars series). Heck I've also formed acquaintances with some of the channels that comment on my uploads.
So yeah, what motivates me to upload is the interaction and overall fun with the youtube community and this network which has helped ever since I was at 15 subs .

Also to add, I'll prolly note that I hope to inspire people with mental disabilities (whether it be autism or depression,ect) that even while they are fighting to make their place in society, that they too can achieve their dreams.

I totally understand. For a big part of my life I was going to college to become a Film Director. I love the art of film making. I really do. However what I found was that for me it was hard to make the types of compromises that is required to be made with others during film making because it is such a collaborative effort. I guess I felt that I wanted more creative control and creative freedom so that's why now my passions are things that I feel totally are determined only by me like my YouTube channel and coming up my blog and hopefully some time this year, a book.

That's amazing. I would've never guessed something like that. I think that's why it's so great that we're all honest with each other. It brings us all closer and makes the community more personal since we end up discovering that we're more alike than we think.

100% totally agree with you. After a year of trying all types of things I was able to somehow attract 35 subscribers and I made a whopping $4 for last year and you know what I was completely and totally proud of myself. I really was and still am that I accomplished that. I brought something from nothing into this physical realm. I created something. It's the power we all have as human beings. I choose to use that power for good and to help others even if it is just one person.

I originally started to be the "next big thing", which eventually morphed to just a curiosity for the video format. I used to be a gamer, now I'm a vlogger. Curiosity is what drives me in many things that I do.

This is kinda a funny question for me, that I only sort of know the answers...
I actually have many reasons for doing this... here are some reasons...

1. I expect to die one day... making videos will be a way that part of me can live on forever.
2. I love making videos because I always wanted to but never had the opportunity, because there was no youtube when I was a kid and I didnt do well with real life auditions.
3. I love video games cause I was raised by them...
4. Two of my daughters are autistic and I hope to be able to create some kinda of passive revenue stream to help them later in life when I'm not around.
5. Youtube helps me to show people my interests and what I'm like, because I'm an Introvert, not many people ever actually get to know me in real life. Most people are really surprised when they find out I do this...

I'm one of those mysterious people that alot of people know of, but no one really knows... if that makes sense...
