POLL: The Unsolicited Share

An unsolicited share is a sharing of a video that someone did out of their pure heart. You did not talk to them directly to get them to share your video, they simply saw your video (at random) and decided to share.

Do unsolicited shares happen often on your channel? If so, do you find them effective for the potential growth and exposure of your channel?
Second question, do you find sharing your own channel to be effective in growth of your channel? Specifically on forums and on Reddit.

For those who may be confused. I'll do a quick definition of what each of these means in the poll above.

Solicited: Either you shared your content yourself, or you got someone else to by directly speaking to them.
Unsolicited: Someone else shared it with no contact from you, you have no idea who shared the video and probably never will.

[This comes on the heel of the first unsolicited share on my gaming channel, which is the one I put the least effort into. It absolutely smashed my previous view per 48 hour record.]

If is share my own content across social media then i haven't seen any actual difference.
As for the other option i haven't noticed thid happening but seen my analystics that show some video's were shared and recieved quite some views afterwards.

I am always worried about sub for sub or share for share interactions, or solicited shares because the people who do it a lot tend to just be spammers and they always seem to get more out of than you.

Sharing has helped my channel gain loads of views and subs, sometimes spammers and people who dislike just because come to my channel but overall No matter what kind of share it is I am always happy to see it.
