Negative comments

Lately my channel really blew up. Within 10 days I went from like 50 subscribers to 191, and one of my videos is closing in on 80k views. Of course this will spark some hate. Do you guys leave those hateful comments? Not the ones that say "Hey man you need to work on this or this was bad about the video", but the ones that say "you are gay or you suck ****". I tend to remove them because I do not want anything negative on my channel. Just a general question for you guys.

I get quite a few of them, mainly bashing my skill level. I usually leave them be unless they are not even addressing the content. Straight up insults I usually delete or hide.

I pretty much leave all comments, the negative/controversial comments are the ones that will get others to comment and get more interaction with your video.

I always delete or hide hatefull and spam comments. Leaves a bad taste for others if they read it...

What I did was I blocked off all the curse/swear words on my comments, so if people do swear in the comments, it'll go directly to my Spam section. I personally don't like the idea of influencing people to start swearing along with people hating on each other in the comments, which is why I blacklist the curses in the comments.

I'd be lucky if I actually had hate comments on my videos, haters are your biggest promoters.

If you get hate comments, be happy, that means there're haters, and haters being around means you're progressing. The way you deal with them is to ignore them, and delete their comments. If there're too many, just delete the really offensive ones. But remember, you will get MOOORE hate comments as you grow, you won't be able to delete all of them!

True, but like I said, since they all end up in the "Likely Spam" or "Held for review" section, that means I can either approve the comment or delete them entirely.

Well as long as you do check it I guess that's fine. I'm always worried when people do things like that then don't check it.
