There is a point that you cross that you can say your channel has become at least moderately successful.

For this point, we are going to use the number 50,000. 50,000 subscribers and I will ask you this.
Is there a single channel that was made in 2015 that has more than 50,000 subscribers now?

Youtube success will always remain possible as long as it exists and continues to work in the same manner. It just becomes harder as time goes on. However, there also is a small minuscule chance that it could become easier again in the future, if the whole having a channel and wanting to be pewdiepie fad dies down. At some point we should see a pretty big drop in the amount of channels being created, but again that is only if the fad fades out. It might not ever happen.
If it does happen, only people who are persevering will remain and would get greater attention.

Similar things can happen as some of the older youtubers move on to doing other things, and thus watchers look for someone else to watch.

It will be cyclical, and I think it will be swift. In Reaper-like efficiency, the top YouTubers will suddenly die and make way for the oncoming wave of new individual-created content. The pattern will repeat.

So if you get big, save the money that you can for a cushion to land on in the future. All channels die.[DOUBLEPOST=1453084367][/DOUBLEPOST]This guy made his channel on June 18th 2015, and has reached over 1M subs. But his videos are dominantly Agar.io and GTA 5.
This points directly to a likely swift and abrupt end as these games cycle out of popularity.
Agar.io like many other games will die quickly, and many channels will go with it.

Here's the dude I'm talking about
