The common intro among most if not all atleast gaming YouTubers is a 2D style text with music in the back. I would like to set my self apart but would doing so make people click of the video? Like what im thinking is an Intro song that I would change every month or so ( I write them). So the question is not only if I should do the song but should the song go with a non original type 2D text or should I think of something else original at-least to my knowledge . The song I wrote is like 10-20 seconds so it perfect intro length.

Hmmm that is a hard question... I personally would rather have no intro at all, but thats just me. If I did have to pick from non original overused intros and original song then originality is allways better in my book !

As 2D text... yeah dont use that... try not to do anything that most of small channels do and you will be well on your way :D

Your know I slightly feel the same about intros but at the same time some intros look so good sometimes I think damn maybe his videos editing is just as good. Ill probably make a draft of the little song thing I wrote up and put it up to see what everyone thinks.

If you want to use an intro the best thing to do is keep it as short as possible. No more than 5 seconds. Even 10 seconds might be too long. The only exception to this I find is if your channel is based on that kind of stuff. So if your channel is about animation and art .. then having a pretty animated and fun intro can actually catch peoples attention since that is likely what they are looking for.

Now I love dubstep, but the dubstep intros are just overdone. Most of which are not even made by the youtuber. So try to avoid anything that looks like it came from a template.

Be creative. The more creative you can be in a short period of time and keeping it simple will actually impress more people than long drawn out over the top intros.

Well at least that is my opinion on the matter lol.

To be honest when I watch a video from a You tuber who uses a template where the text keeps popping in and out with some music I don't feel like he or she should be a real popular youtuber. They should use something they made.[DOUBLEPOST=1446555100][/DOUBLEPOST]
