I Really Need Some help Just changed Internet Service Providers And Got 6MBPS
Is 6mbps Enough To Watch A Stream On Twitch Or YouTube @1080/720
I assume that's your download and not your upload speed.

It depends on the resolution you want to watch it at, you'll probably do 720p at the most. If others are using bandwidth at the same time though, you're going to have problems.

Yeah should be fine to watch 720p and maybe 1080p streams. But like said above if other people are using Internet also you may experience some problems.

Yup like everyone said its enough to watch it, but that speed is kinda sad :/ We dont even have an opption to get a connection that slow, even if I went with the worst ISP's they offer 25/25 as lowest >_< Unless you got yourself a mobile data modem, then I can see 6mbps being your actuall speed.... but why would you get that to begin with :| ?

Probably depends on where he lives. Before I moved into my house two years ago I could only get Sky who only offered me 6-8 down and 1-3 up lol but now I'm on 150MB fibre since I moved in happy days :D

Well yeah it depends on where he lives, but I mean in my whole country you can hardly find any ISP that would offer less than 25/25 o_O
Curently im using 100/100 but im thinking about doing an upgrade to 600/600 when my roomate moves in since both of us would be streaming possibly at same time :D

Yeah in the UK there's still a good few ISP's that offer really poor speeds for the price they want. I'm upgrading mine after to Christmas to 250MB package

If it's maxed at 6MBps then it may fluctuate a lot not a steady 6MBps. Technically you should be able to but on things like streams once you get behind on slow internet the whole thing just messes up so probably not. Should be able to watch 360p or 720 max. With 5MBps download I just watch everything at 360, even that's a bit hit and miss sometimes. :(

I hate you so much!! :D I'm just happy when I measure my internet speed and it doesn't come back in KBps

Is that in bits or btyes?

Assumptive the package would say bits, so you might be able to watch [the majority] of YouTube videos at 720p30 on a good day.

With my old AOL connection (~5Mbits/s), there couldn't be a single secondary device connected to the internet if I wanted to watch 720p comfortably.
