Hello my name is Brandon and i recently created a new channel called GamingTalks on youtube which can be found at *link removed*

I uploaded a video last night just messing around on csgo with some friends but didnt edit much at all. it is really just a place holder video because i really dont know where to begin in the content i want to make.

I am in search of inspiration. i really love to watch a youtuber known as cultofmush and would love to make my GamingTalks channel have similar content to what he does, but do not know where to start. Anyone who is willing to help please do and let me know where i can begin or what kind of video to make. Thank you all!

Well I guess at begining it is the best to do videos for games that you like so it will be easier to find people who like similar games to you and use that to build your fans and channel. Good luck. :)

Hold on a second.

You started up a YouTube channel with absolutely no direction and no idea of where you wanted to go or do? Your initial inspiration for content creation should come from you and only you, and those around you will give you the tips to make that inspiration a reality.

Agreed to this. Best is to start youtube when you know what direction you want to go.

I'm saying it this way because some of the other comments in this thread are coming off as a bit harsh.

I think your channel name speaks for itself as to what content needs to be put on it. When I hear of a channel called GamingTalks, I know what to expect when I click on your name in the comments section of another video, or just stumbled upon your channel.

You might be thinking "talking about video games is stupid though" in which case I would suggest you step away from YouTube and figure out what you want your channel to be. YouTube is (hopefully) not going anywhere, so you have time to figure it out. Once you have figured it out you may want to rename your channel, so as not to upset an audience thinking they are about to drink Coke but instead get Pepsi. With the soda analogy in mind, remember that they are both refreshing beverages depending on the person, similarly your channel has the potential to be refreshing to an audienice once you figure out what direction to take with it.

Harsh wouldn't really be correct, realistic would be the word.
Someone who wants to make YouTube videos should have some kind of vision before s/he starts making videos. That vision is to be carried throughout the career. It's like running a business without a business plan. Where do you go once you open? Nobody knows.

Look he came here looking for support. I am not disagreeing with you in terms that he messed up. But he is new to Freedom and he has made a mistake, and you all are just being so quick to bash him. People make mistakes, and I'm telling him he made one and that it is okay.

My idea was to make pc gaming videos review pc gaming tech and pc games, with a little it of playing/ commentating on the side. i just dont know what video i should do fisrt i guess im asking more of what video should i start with? (ignoring the cs video on my chanel currently). The reason im asking is because i dont know what video i can make about a game that will interest people. there are so many other youtubers making videos about gaming and tech reviews and like i asked before i need inspiration. the only a small chanel like mine is oing to get big is if i have something someone cant get anywhere else something unique from the others. i just dont know where to find the inspiration. i know wha tkind of content to make adn i can make it all day but theres nothing special in that and it wont attract many people.

Thanks for the reply! i see what you said about the channel name "GamingTalks" and it is pretty obvious what kind of content would be on a channel with such a name. I want to make that content but as i said (in the post above this) i need inspiration to be differeint.
