I'm very unaware on how taxes work. Do I need to pay tax as I earn in Youtube? What are the criteria? I'm from the Philippines.

yeah but im pretty sure theyre asking if they now need to pay taxes on their income. because im pretty sure here in canada if i make over $10k i need to pay income tax on it

You will need to contact your own government tax department in order to find out about your taxes. YouTube is a revenue and so yes you will need to pay taxes if your total earnings (from all sources of income combined) are over the threshold for your country.
