So I just got a new HTC Vive VR device a couple days ago, and I wanted to share my first impressions...

There are good reviews that tell you about what it does and how it works, but I just wanted to say...

The 3D is like nothing Ive ever seen before. Waaayyyyyyy different than 3d in the theatres. Between the 3d and the tracking of movement, it really feels like you are in a different place.

Its like putting on a headset that lets you see and interact with a parallel universe. and the screen is so big that you can actually kinda look around with your eyes inside the headset, unlike cardboard.

I litterally fell on my back in fear as a monster ripped through the ceiling in The Lab. Its that immersive.

All I can say is... Im not so sure Im even gonna play normal games anymore. At least not until the new South Park game comes out.

Its that good...

Anyways... if ya ever wanna talk VR let me know... Im always interested in talking VR lol

Been seeing Vive getting a lot of good reviews recently. Once I upgrade my PC, it's time to grab a Vive! XD
Cool, The gtx 1070 seems like a good deal, and it will have all the new pascal features.
Though Radeon is bringing out a vr ready card for only $200, though I dont think it will have all the features the gtx card will have like multi projection, physically modeled acustics, and ansel. Though you never know.

I'm going for either Asus GTX 1080 Strix or Gigabyte GTX 1080 Xtreme. Right now, it depends on the price on either of them since I live in Asia and all XD. I would go for Radeon, but I recently found out about Ansel and it's very useful for making thumbnails!

I'm going to wait until I get the GTX1080 Hybrid, the Corsair/MSI one.
Then I'll see if I'm still rich enough to get a Vive.

Agreed, it is wicked expensive right now. I think in a year or two it will be alot more affordable. I know a VR ready computer will be alot more affordable later this year, with amd's new offerings... not sure when the headsets will come down in price though.

The headset costs as much as my whole computer...
