HOW DO YOU DO TAGS?

how do you do tags properly? i read somewhere that if you do your tags in the worng order you will get boned on veiws because it doesnt show up on anyones feed

so how do you know what to put in it. this is one big thing trhat sam and i are blind on

Tags are search phrases...
Uses phrases not words...
The phrases should be as unique as possible, while at the same time relating to your videos content.

If you try to use tags that are popular like minecraft lets play, you will be buried by the bigger channels.

If you ever search for something... and cant find it... thats the perfect search tag.

And install heartbeat and tube buddy, they help... when you go to edit your tags... it will show you your tags search ranking if they are good tags

and then if someone searches for your specific tag... like nostalgia critic boss is a wuss ... you get your video... or my video in this case... at the top of the search...

If you're stumped, you can look at other channels for how they do their tags as well. It's nice to see how people tag themselves, and how they manage to stand out the way they do.

As mentioned above aways use tags that are specific to the video's content. Besides that use your analystics to see what people use the most to find you and your video's.

@Hail Kira has some great tips, I do the same as him Also always include your channel name in tags as this will help tie your videos together to get them to come up as suggested in the side bar.

Be very aware of what you think the most used tags for your specific kind of video are, and don't use them.
However, it also pays to... pay, attention to what else you might use. Using only what is 80+ on TubeBuddy, I managed to do something seemingly miraculous that somehow turned about 1/2 the tags from placing in page 1 of search, to having ALL of them place in the first page of search.

Where have you been advertising your channel? The smaller channels either never show up on search or they show up so far to the bottom of the search pile it's hard for us to get found. I mainly use facebook groups,
