my advice to you would be never sub4sub its harms your channel , try to use social media a lot , I do this and gain a lot of views plus subs from it , stuff like twitter, facebook and so on !

try to make catchy thumbnails and tags on videos are really important because they help you in the search rankings , make sure they are relavant to your video :)
