Remember to only enter the part behind youtube.com/channel/...
Go to your channel, copy the link there, remove the youtube.com/channel/ and enter that.

May I remind you that it is possible that our Forum can double post automatically - As the time differences are nearly negligible, and it is the exact same message and same section, I would presume it was the forums fault.

As everyone else has said, your subscribe button will work only if you put your alpha-numeric Channel ID.
For example, if a link is
www.youtube.com/channel/SHHdjsaJejhfaSS

The "SHHdjsaJejhfaSS" bit is the Channel ID.
