Long as the cover is of a song that the artist allows. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/3301938?hl=en

I think youtube can automatically pick up that it is a cover and wether or not you can monetise it. I don't really know much about it so someone else might be more help. You could also try contacting support Create a support ticket
Youtube allows me to monetize them, but probably not the networks like freedom..I just want to know, in my channel i'll probably insert also other musical videos, more simple to be monetized, with only personal contents ( tutorials, how to make a cover ecc. )

Long as it shows up that you can monetise them and it's all your original content (doing the whole cover yourself). Then it's fine :)

Main thing is just avoid using other peoples work and trying to monetise it. If you do use parts of others work make sure you have permission or it is licensed under creative commons that allows for monetisation.

Thanks! I 've also sent a "ticket" and freedom is helping me understand :) Moreover, searching in the "eligible cover" page on google, I've found that probably my songs are eligible ( revenue sharing )
