Solved Editing Music and Copyright

Sorry if this is elsewhere. But I'm a part of Freedom so I have access to Position Music's stuff for my youtube videos. I found a couple songs very similar but would like to edit them to get a smoother transition between the songs. Would I be doing something that would get me a copyright strike?

It depends on the song if you can find the creative commons licence it will tell you if you can alter it at all. If it has the equals symbol (=) that means no derivatives and it cannot be altered. For more information see http://creativecommons.org/licenses/

So yes you could get a strike if you edit it, if you are just fading the song at the end that should be ok though.
