After Duke Nukem Forever came out in 2011 gamers were given one of the worst experiences in the FPS genre and Duke Nukem in general. Duke Nukem was recently taken down from GOG (it will be back after GOG works it out with the new owner), but this is likely due to the purchasing of the IP from Gearbox who have vested interest in the property for what reason is still unknown. GOG says they are in discussion new rightsholders to bring back the Duke Nukem games as soon as possible.
