"We've worked with your MCN to include you in the YouTube Partner Program."

Hello to anyone able to help,

Basically, I just saw this notification on my dashboard. I investigated quite a bit and some people say it's mandatory to accept this "program" or eventually they will stop sending you your earnings/won't be able to monetize your videos anymore.
However, Freedom! has continued to send me my earnings every month (very well done Freedom! never had a single problem with you).

Should I care at all about this?

Thank you.
We've worked with your MCN to include you in the YouTube Partner Program.

Thank you for replying but I don't trust YouTube/Google at all.
It doesn't explain the upsides nor the downsides, nor anything at all to be honest.

If I can, I prefer not to accept the Program, which is why I ask: Is it mandatory?

Thank you.

Because Youtube/google as most care only about money. Now the difference between companies is actually when and when not they help you at all or give the correct support.
The term and conditions are very fishy tbh.
This is all "At some point, stuff will happen. You and I don't know what but stuff is gonna go down, and you have to accept because we say so."
I also see a lot of people talking mainly about music usage on their videos, but most of us use non copyrighted material from channels like "NCS - NonCopyrightSounds", so it doesn't affect us.

Ultimately, being partner of Freedom! allows us to earn through paypal instead of the adsense program of google, so what is the point of this anyway? Youtube trying to take more money or what?

And so, you are telling me if I don't accept this, Freedom! will/may at some point stop paying me for my own videos?
Hmm...

I never said that Freedom! will stop paying you for your monetized views (that is what you are paid for not your videos). They will always pay you any money that has been earned.

However not being a part of the partner program may mean that in the future YouTube will stop monetization. Nothing to do with Freedom! This is in no way confirmed, but can be implied by the term "featured" in the terms of use.
