This video (screenshot above) is not published yet. I am thinking of holding off of publishing because the channel (another youtuber) is claiming earnings on my video. If it was Activision, I would totally understand. BUT this other channel has done a walkthrough in Modern Warfare Remastered and appears to be being cheaky?

Is this youtuber breaking Youtube's T&Cs. I'm no lawyer, but it seems that this channel is being fraudulent.

Advice please, as I do not need a copyright strike etc.

Cheers

Hello

It is not the channel I am worrying about. It seems that another network, known as Zoomin.TV is claiming your video for apparent use of their premium content, or which they give out to certain users under conditions. If you make your video, with all content being recorded by you, and not from anywhere else, then I see this to be a incorrect claim from the network and you should dispute their claim.

Since this is a game walkthrough (content techniquely all owned by Activision the game publisher) but all recorded by me, with me talking over it (not 100% of the time), what would be the best option to click?

If I select "The video is my original content and I own all of the rights to it.", I then get the following. And with any gaming footage, one doesn't really own the rights to it. Do they?

I've made the video private for now... I just want to sort this out, but don't want to select wrong options, and get a copyright strike etc.

PS. I'm wondering whether to raise a support ticket, as this channel appears to be making lots of false claims if google results are to be believed.

The best way to ensure everything gets sorted and you get an appropriate answer, you are best to make a support ticket.

From when I used to make videos, I had to deal with a few claims and the main reasonable choice is under "Fair Use" - Now Fair Use is a bit iffy at times, as there isn't really a solid background on what is and what isn't Fair Use, however my reasoning has stopped me from suffering any claims, but I would advise listening to my first choice and ask support first.

You said you got the content match clam before you published it. I know what you mean in this case. Regardless of what you have the video set on public, private etc etc you will get the content match clam instantly. YouTube`s computer system can give out false content clams from time to time I call them false positives. You won`t get a strike for this.

I get the odd content ID clam/ Try to clam your earnings instantly from time to time in regards to the below photo, right hand text bar what gets shown in a video for 1 or 2 sec`s max when you switch from editing to photo. 99% of the time no issues that 1% you get the false content clam. Easy fix for me is delete the video and re upload it.
Do you have any music playing in this video
Have you tried uploading it again set to private

Support has advised me to contact the youtuber direct. See what happens on that front.

My original video took like around 20hrs to get a content ID match, presumably because his video got uploaded late yesterday and isn't published yet.

Meanwhile, I've tried uploading again to see what happens. A two pronged approach.

14hrs later and no content id match on the re-upload, except i included some channel branding on top of the video.

Channel itself appears to have released it, as their channel name no longer appears. However the network kept the content ID match. Deleted the original now and published the re-upload.

Hopefully no problems. BUT it really has screwed up my schedule. Wanted daily vids for this campaign all done before the beta comes out. :(

I am glad this is now sorted, I will ask Zeke to set this to solved.
