I want to start by saying i had no idea where to post this. So im trying to get use to doing commentaries and i just can't get a nice flow going, i've only ever really talked for short periods and i've made a nice little vid with different clips id love to talk over but cant find things to discuss, in talk about the game, whats happening, what im doing and why and i just cant seem to talk for more then 3 or 4 minutes without encountering awkward silences, any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys :)

Well, first, I think this post would be better in the "General Discussion" thread? Because we are discussing about commentary tips.
Now, about the commentating, it depends actually, are you talking about commentating over a video game? If that is the case, sometimes, we just can't avoid awkward silences. We get caught up in the game and we are so focused that we tend to just shut up and play the game. Although, we have to talk a lot most of the time. If you just started, you will mostly be confused with what to say. Trust me, I've been there. In my first few videos, I think more what to say than actually saying it. Just say what your mind is telling you, but of course, be aware also, because it might offend others. Once you get the hang of commentating, you'll be better at it. But of course, in order to get better at it, you have to keep doing it. Just make videos where you are commentating, then after a few or so videos, try to compare it with an old one, and see if you got better at it. Good luck man! I hope I helped! I'm still a rookie at this, but this is what I do :))

Try to collaborate. I always feel a sense of awkwardness when I record single player and talk to myself XD. I usually speak more open when I play with other people.
