Audio editing software?

Audacity for sure, it's free and uses only around 20% of your CPU and only uses around 100 MB for ram. I use it sometimes and it's never let me down

For professional mixing and editing i recommend using Studio One 3, there is a free and paid version. However for simple edits I use audacity, garageband and built-in software.

I use Audacity. It's freeware and have a lot of professional alike tools. Is really easy to use and quite easy to learn it. Better than this one, just the Adobe Audition 3.0, which I don't usually use because I just have it on my university.

At the moment I still use Final Cut pro to edit my audio minorly. It has some standard edditing tools that work well for me. But I do think in programs like Audition you have allot more options, but I just really never liked the program.

It really depends on wither or not you wish to pay money for the "Best Audio Editing Software" Or not, The best free one out there is Audacity, the Best Paid you'll find is in Adobe Products.
