So it seems that I haven't yet connected my new channel to freedom but I got paid about 3 cents just last night and I am quite not sure if this is supposed to happen or not. Please tell me if you also have this issue.

Could you elaborate on this a bit more? Please provide a screenshot of the channel's YouTube features page as it comes up without scrolling down and one of the "Channels" module of https://www.freedom.tm/dashboard/profile so we can help you out further.
