Freedom! staff will never attempt to access your Gmail especially without your consent, there's no reason to do so. If you believe someone is attempting to breach the security of your Gmail, it is important to make sure that you have a secure password and to change it if need be (across all other accounts too just in case.)
I'd recommend setting up a 2-step verification if you haven't already, this will require a smartphone or mobile device with the free Google Authentication app installed. Doing so will make it virtually impossible for anyone else to log into your Google account.
