I used to use Vegas because Premiere seemed so daunting at first, but after about 2 months of using Premiere, I have to say that Premiere wipes the floor with Vegas. Premiere features so many things that Vegas lacks, and the list is too large to include here. But one of the biggest things is using multiple sequences, which really can clean up a timeline instead of everything being consolidated into a single timeline then everything becomes a cluttered mess. Step up your game Sony, because Vegas costs over $500, and Premiere is much cheaper in the CC package.

You can nest timelines in Vegas as well! Albeit a little more difficult to work with, it's doable. All you have to do is save your project, then create a new project and you can import the .veg save file and boom, you have a nested "sequence"!

I used to use Sony Vegas for all my projects but have switched over to Premiere and have no regrets, but personally I don't think anyone can go wrong with either products. Sony Vegas is a very capable software as is Adobe Premiere. :)
