Hmm...Your thumbnails and kinda ok. But the reason why you think they are ugly is because of the font and its color...Seemingly, it looks like text is a major part of your thumbnail...try using more modernish and stylish font with some bright colors rather than stuff like brown! :D

For starters, I would suggest to post more consistently...You can use Freedom to meet new fellow youtubers and check out their content and see how things are going...Promoting is not a big issue as long as you are active in the community and other social media sites.

I do understand your interest for doing YouTube, but generally speaking, nowadays life puts you in a situation where you can excel only in one thing because beating the competition in all the categories is near impossible...so I suggest channel your main effort in the one thing that you truly...

As people discussed above, SEO is very important and what's more is that overwatch is an extremely popular game, there is bound to be so many uploads in one day! :D
