Can depend a lot on the type of channel you are doing. Doing lets plays is probably the hardest to grow, there need to be a reason that someone will spend half and hour watching you play a video game, instead of them just playing.

A lot of subreddits don't like video posts, especially LPs will get bad results there. Try posting a picture or gif and you might find better results with that. Also as Phil said don't worry too much about views to start with, just make the best content you can and have fun with it :)

I think you are better off doing giveaways to reward your followers rather than bring new people in. I've seen some channels have really bad results with giveaways, where they have had thousands of subs but they only watched videos that had a giveaway in them. So the normal videos would have 10...

No you wont get a strike. While you are partnered with Freedom you can use the music as much as you like. If you decided to leave the network you wont receive any copyright strikes as you uploaded them while in Freedom. The only think you can't do is upload a new video using Freedom music once...
