I've had a similar thing where I was using royalty free music attributed to the original artist, but a different channel had uploaded a song with that music as their background. They claimed my video for using there song... Also fought the claim and it was dropped :)

Not a fan of them, although if the video is 30+ minutes it's ok if a really like the channel.

Find similar channels that you like and start commenting, maybe you liked something in the video or even just ask them questions. Just having presence like that you will get people that check you out, as well as make friends. What ever you do don't ask for views/subs though :D

Rather than share videos get people to come to you. Long as you are active in things like forums, Youtube comments etc. people will check out your channel. Reddit can be good to get your name out there, but everyone has very mixed results with that.

Summer has just ended for us, although we still had a 40° C day so doesn't really feel like it is over just yet.

It's not like Youtube is being evil, they are trying to protect original content from being re uploaded and monetised by someone else. They have just tried doing it the lazy way without having a big enough team to check the reliability of the claims. :( Just fyi that video does break...

Make videos that haven't been made before. Although that's not always easy with the amount of content out there.

I'm at 29 down and 1.6 up Which is like 20 times better than what my previous speeds were at :D

Although they may get subs faster than guys it's probably just as hard for them to retain viewers. Still have to make content that people want to watch.
