We are not completely sure how the media section counts views, I noticed this when media was launched that media views didn't necessarily contribute to YouTube views. It may be people that have viewed the thumbnail of the video (in the media section or on the recent videos in the front page)...

Remember to add some text to your posts to promote discussions rather than just posting a video. I think the suggested video is something a lot of people overlook in terms of getting views although it's one of the best ways to gain views to your videos!

Just try to start out by aiming for views rather than subs. As you start to get more videos out subscribers will eventually come :)
