I think is a problem with your editing software...I havent used Movie studio Platinum so i cant really say much but well...i use Lightworks to edit my vids and honestly they are that bad

I would recommend Lightworks and HitFilms...Hitfilms for more EPIC or serious editing and lightworks for basic stuff.

Well as for the Video editing software i would recommend Lightworks coz it isnt really resource intensive.....however if you like a HUUUUUUGE amount of editing (like some sci fi movie XD) it will be quite resource intensive Earlier i used my computer which i kid you not is like 4 or 5 years old...

Well this is just a thought but why not use audio manipulating softwares like audacity...etc.You can always add more bass to your sound or change the pitch or change it in maaaaaany aspects This is just an alternative to getting a voice changer coz well i believe that those thing cost a little...
