Have you checked out the sponsorship reviews on the Freedom! dashboard? There's a fair bit of games that normally would cost you, but you get for free so that you can record it!

My biggest fear is not being able to do what I want to do, and not being able to do anything about it.

I don't know about free games, but try out terraria it isn't that expensive and is open world like minecraft.

An important thing is to ask them to comment so they're more inclined to comment. For example, ask them to give simple feedback.

I mainly do Let's Plays on my channel and you should make videos on a game that interests you. If subscribers and viewers like them, then make more videos. If they don't there's no need to worry, you can play the game in your own time (if you want to) and start making Let's Plays on another...

I try to upload every week, and it's a good habit to get in an upload schedule. Trust me, when your subs know when a video is coming out it performs a lot better :)

Watching other channels' (that relate to you) videos and then giving them a comment with feedback, then asking them to do the same for you is a good way to get noticed.
