There's a really good NLE on linux called Kdenlive. I believe it's coming to windows sometime soon as well.

if you want to save a little money, the Sony a5000 is a mirrorless DSLR that offers 20.1Mpx vs the t5i's 18Mpx and has a higher max ISO for better low light shots. I know..I have the a5000 lol great camera for around $450 USD.

do you mean DSLR? because that's not the name of a camera, it's the type of camera you can buy. there is no such thing as a dclr camera.

sony alpha a5000 for professional videos and a logitech c920 webcam for quick, on the spot style videos.

long story short, the c920 is by far the best webcam you can get for the money imo. bought one myself a few months ago and the 1080p capture makes all the difference when it comes to videos I produce with just my webcam.
