Unlesss you are willing to cop up money for a capture card there is no way of doing so besides holding a camera. (there are modded ds systems avaliable but come at a big price tag)

For professional mixing and editing i recommend using Studio One 3, there is a free and paid version. However for simple edits I use audacity, garageband and built-in software.
